Castell Businesses

Our small town has several businesses which work together to provide services for the state of Texas as well as the local surrounding area. We have two campgrounds, a general store, a digital multi media studio, a US Post Office and two places of lodging. Llano County brags on being the deer capital of Texas and so we have many long time hunters here during the season.

The Castell General Store has been in operation for two years and provides a much needed service for our ranchers, tourists, kayakers and musicians who come to record at RiverSounds Recording Resort. You can expect to find many items of interest at the General Store due to the contributions of the local Castell residents. Carolyn and Robert Hansen travel the country collecting crystals and rocks of many kinds that cam be found at the store. There is also local arts & crafts, foods, antiques and more. Randy Leifeste, the owner is the heart of the store-once there expect to stay for a bit as you hear stories and chat. Castell is home to RiverSounds Recording Resort, where you can kick back on the river and make your next album. They also produce local shows and events, make web sites and multi media content. RRR is the force behind Texas Songwriters in the Round which performs in Mason and surrounding counties.
