The history of Castell has had many exciting chapters! Many of the
original settlers left behind grand legacies of ranches, tall tales, cowboys,
Indians and freedom. Living in Castell is a wholly unique experience due to
the small population and wide open spaces, friendly folks and
the Llano river running through it.

Scott Zesch, an award winning Mason writer has completed his new book
inspired byAdolph Korn from Castell, an Indian captive taken by Comanches here in Castell.
